TV Junkie

Ok, I admit it: I am a tv junkie! I'm not as bad as I used to be (I've had to "give up" quite a few shows because I just couldn't keep up with all of them--even with 2 DVRs!), but I still love my tv shows. In fact, I decided my dream job is that I get paid to watch tv. Anyone know someone who would pay me for that? Probably not...

This post is my complaint about The Biggest Loser. If you haven't seen this week's episode yet, STOP READING NOW! SPOILER ALERT!!!! How could they choose to eliminate Damien over Joelle? I was totally shocked! Do you think it was a game-playing strategy? That's the only thing that makes sense to me, because Joelle is clearly not much competition. What do you think?

  1. I think it is some sort of strategy that had to be a little big rigged. Joelle is too much like Omarosa...seems like they keep her around for entertainment value.

  2. I actually think they might have been setting aside competition. I think they believed Damien could make it at home with the support of his fiance and his commitment shown on the ranch. Joelle clearly doesn't get it and I think they wanted to give her more time to have a shot at changing her life. There's no way she was doing it at home on her own. I don't think it could be strategy because they seem to want to give her partner a chance to come back and she was the heaviest girl ever on the show and much more committed. Could drop huge numbers if she makes it back to the ranch. Don't get me wrong, Joelle drives me crazy. I want her to go. I do think she's a producer's dream.

What's bugging me is that we already know who falls beyond the yellow line next week because of the previews. It kills me that one of those boys will have to go home.
